1. Purpose
This policy outlines how CliniciansCheck handles advertising, sponsorship, and paid content across its platform. Our aim is to maintain transparency, protect user trust, and ensure compliance with healthcare advertising regulations in the UK, EU, US, and international jurisdictions.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all paid or sponsored content, including:

Featured clinician or service listings

Sponsored products (e.g., health, wellness, or beauty items)

Display ads or banners

Promotional blog posts or articles

Social media collaborations or influencer promotions

AI-powered recommendation placements
3. Transparency & Labelling
All sponsored or paid content will be clearly marked using one or more of the following labels:
“Sponsored”
“Advertiser content”
“Promoted by [Company Name]”
“In partnership with [Partner]”
Unmarked promotions, covert endorsements, or hidden advertising are strictly prohibited.
4. Advertising Standards & Ethics
All advertisements must:

Be truthful, evidence-based, and non-deceptive

Avoid unverified health claims or unrealistic outcomes

Not exploit user fears or vulnerabilities

Comply with medical advertising laws, including:

We reserve the right to reject or remove any advertising that is misleading, unsafe, or in conflict with our platform values.
5. Restrictions
CliniciansCheck does not permit advertising that:

Promotes unlicensed or unregulated medical services

Encourages the use of controlled substances

Markets tobacco, firearms, or adult services

Includes discriminatory, offensive, or harmful content

Targets children in breach of applicable child advertising laws
6. Clinical Independence
CliniciansCheck does not allow advertisers to influence:

Clinical advice or recommendations

Review moderation or rating systems

Search ranking or platform algorithmic decisions (outside paid visibility clearly labelled as such)
7. Data Use & Targeting
Advertisers are not given access to user-identifiable data. Where ad targeting is used, it is based on anonymised, aggregated, or contextual information only.
CliniciansCheck never sells personal data to third parties.
8. Partner Vetting
All advertising partners are subject to:

Background screening

Verification of claims (e.g., certifications, regulatory status)

Signed agreement with this policy and applicable advertising laws
9. Complaints or Concerns
Users may report inappropriate or misleading ads to:

All reports will be reviewed within 5 business days. Advertisers may be suspended or permanently banned if they violate this policy.
10. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated in line with emerging laws, technology changes, and platform needs.
11. Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. International users are protected by their local advertising and consumer protection laws as applicable.
12. Medical Endorsements Disclaimer
CliniciansCheck does not endorse any specific clinicians, products, or services advertised or promoted on the platform. All endorsements, testimonials, or user-generated reviews reflect individual opinions and not the official view of CliniciansCheck.
13. AI-Generated Placement Transparency
If AI or machine learning is used to determine ad placement or visibility, such systems will not override manual labelling or user trust features. All paid placements will remain clearly disclosed regardless of AI logic
14. Conflicts of Interest Clause
All advertising must be free from undisclosed conflicts of interest. CliniciansCheck requires advertisers to declare any affiliations with clinicians, product developers, or rating/review sources appearing on the platform.
