At CliniciansCheck, we are committed to protecting the privacy and data of all users — especially children and young people. This Children’s Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, protect, and share personal information about children under 18, in accordance with applicable child privacy laws.

This notice applies to:

  • Children under the age of 18 who may use, be represented on, or appear in data processed by the CliniciansCheck platform

  • Parents, guardians, or legal representatives creating accounts or uploading information on behalf of a child

2. Types of Data We May Collect About Children

We may collect the following personal data from or about children, depending on how the platform is used:

  • Name, age, and contact details (e.g. via parent or guardian)

  • Medical or health-related information (e.g. for appointments or reviews)

  • Educational, developmental, or behavioural notes (e.g. if part of a clinician record)

  • Photos, videos, or uploaded documents (only where lawfully permitted)

  • IP address, device info, and usage logs (via platform interactions)

We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts independently without guardian consent.

3. Lawful Basis for Processing Children’s Data

We collect and use children’s data under the following lawful bases:

  • Consent: from a parent or legal guardian where required

  • Vital interests: where necessary to protect life or health

  • Legal obligation: to comply with safeguarding, medical, or regulatory duties
