CliniciansCheck is a trusted platform that connects healthcare professionals, organisations, and patients. We value transparency and open dialogue but expect all users to communicate respectfully and responsibly.
These Commenting and Community Guidelines apply to all public and private content posted on the CliniciansCheck platform, including:

Reviews and testimonials

Comments on clinician or organisation profiles

Messages between users (where permitted)

Forum contributions or public threads (if applicable)
1. Respectful Communication
Users must engage respectfully. We do not tolerate:

Abusive, aggressive, or threatening language

Racist, sexist, or discriminatory remarks

Personal attacks or name-calling

Bullying, trolling, or attempts to intimidate others
2. Truthfulness and Integrity
Users must only post content that is:

Truthful and accurate to the best of their knowledge

First-hand and relevant (no impersonation or false claims)

Constructive — not deliberately misleading, malicious, or defamatory
If you have a genuine concern about a provider, please raise it responsibly. Malicious reviews or fake testimonials are not tolerated and may result in legal action.
3. Prohibited Content
You may not post content that:

Contains hate speech, adult or sexual content, or graphic imagery

Infringes intellectual property rights (e.g., copyrighted material, logos)

Violates medical confidentiality or reveals personal health details without consent

Promotes off-platform services, spam, or unauthorised commercial activity
4. Moderation and Removal
CliniciansCheck reserves the right to:

Monitor, moderate, or remove any content without notice

Suspend or permanently ban users who violate these guidelines

Refer serious breaches (e.g., threats or illegal activity) to legal authorities
We are not obligated to publish or retain any content submitted to the platform.
5. Reporting Abuse or Inappropriate Content

We aim to review all reports within 5 business days.
6. Professional Standards for Clinicians
Clinicians using the platform must adhere to:

Local and international codes of ethics (e.g., GMC, APA, AMA)

Standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient dignity
Public disputes between clinicians and patients are discouraged. We promote resolution through proper channels, including regulated complaint procedures and support.
7. Jurisdiction and Enforcement
These guidelines are governed by the laws of England and Wales. They apply globally, but users are also expected to comply with relevant laws in their jurisdiction.
CliniciansCheck is not liable for user-generated content but will act swiftly to remove unlawful, harmful, or misleading posts.
8. Policy Changes
CliniciansCheck reserves the right to modify these guidelines at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the platform and take effect immediately.
9. Anti-Review Manipulation Clause
Users must not coordinate with others to manipulate review scores, upvote or downvote certain providers, or use third-party services to influence public opinion. CliniciansCheck actively monitors for review fraud and reserves the right to suspend accounts found in breach.
10. Legal Safeguard on Defamation
Users are reminded that making false statements about a clinician or organisation may be unlawful and constitute defamation. You are responsible for the content you publish.
11. Age Minimum for Review/Comment Use
To post comments or reviews on CliniciansCheck, users must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to form binding agreements under applicable law.
