1. Our Vision

Inclusion is not a feature. It’s the foundation.

At CliniciansCheck, we believe diversity is not a metric — it’s a mandate. Inclusion is not an initiative — it’s how we operate. We are building a platform that reflects the world we serve: inclusive, representative, and empowering to all.

2. Our Commitments

We actively promote and protect diversity across every layer of our organisation and platform. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Age

  • Disability

  • Gender identity and expression

  • Race, ethnicity, nationality

  • Religion or belief

  • Sexual orientation

  • Socio-economic background

  • Neurodiversity

  • Parental and carer status

  • Political belief (within lawful bounds)

We do not tolerate discrimination, bias, harassment, or exclusion of any kind.

These commitments are actively monitored, embedded in all internal and external interactions, and enforced through policy-backed action and reporting mechanisms.

3. Inclusive By Design

We embed inclusivity in our systems, products, and services:

  • Inclusive language across communications and product UX

  • Accessible design aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards

  • Neurodiverse-friendly interfaces and cognitive load consideration

  • Name/pronoun self-identification wherever relevant

  • Bias testing for algorithms and AI-driven recommendations

We consult diverse user groups during design sprints and feature testing to ensure real-world validation of inclusivity principles.

4. Representation & Hiring

We strive to build diverse teams at every level, including leadership. Our hiring, onboarding, and internal promotion practices are guided by equity, transparency, and merit.

We also encourage supplier diversity by working with minority-owned, women-led, and minority-owned and women-led businesses where legally and operationally viable, with annual reporting.

5. Platform Equity

We are committed to:

  • Equal opportunity for all clinicians and users to engage, list, and promote services

  • Visibility and support for underserved or marginalised groups

  • Anti-bias review moderation and training for our operations team

  • Clear, fair escalation channels for discrimination reports

6. Legal and Strategic Alignment

This statement is aligned with:

  • The UK Equality Act 2010

  • The UN Sustainable Development Goals (Goals 5, 8, 10, 16)

  • The EU Charter of Fundamental Rights

  • The Global DEI Benchmarks

  • NHS Equality Delivery System 2024+ and ESG reporting frameworks

These frameworks guide our global direction; where regional laws diverge, we apply the highest applicable standard unless doing so would violate local law.

7. Monitoring & Accountability

We measure inclusion through:

  • Internal team diversity tracking

  • Bias audits of platform engagement

  • Annual review of D&I progress and barriers

  • Feedback loops from users, clinicians, and team members

We will publish D&I highlights annually in our transparency or impact report.

8. Governance

The Director of People & Culture (or equivalent) has oversight of this statement. D&I objectives are integrated into leadership KPIs and platform development goals.

This statement is reviewed annually by the executive team and updated to reflect emerging best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

9. Contact

To share feedback or raise a concern about inclusion on our platform, contact:

10. Global Jurisdictional Commitment

CliniciansCheck commits to applying this statement globally, respecting and complying with local equality, anti-discrimination, and employment laws in every country we operate or onboard users, clinicians, and vendors from. Where local laws are less protective, we apply our internal higher standard.

In case of conflict, CliniciansCheck applies the standard that best supports human dignity, equal access, and nondiscrimination, as permitted by applicable law.

11. Escalation and Remediation Process

Concerns raised under this policy will be acknowledged within 5 business days. Investigations will be conducted impartially and confidentially. Where bias, exclusion, or discrimination is substantiated, appropriate remediation measures will be taken — including retraining, review moderation, or, where necessary, contract or account suspension.

12. AI & Algorithmic Fairness Clause

We are committed to algorithmic transparency and equity. All machine learning or AI systems used in our platform are assessed for bias and designed to reduce structural inequalities. This includes search, recommendation, and rating visibility engines.

All assessments of fairness and transparency include a layer of human governance and audit, with the right to escalate concerns under our Dispute Resolution Mechanism

13. Public Accountability Pledge

D&I metrics and impact summaries will be shared annually via our ESG or Transparency Report. We welcome public scrutiny and community feedback to help us do better.

14: Language Accessibility

CliniciansCheck is committed to providing multilingual access and culturally adapted content where possible. We aim to remove linguistic and cultural barriers to health information and service access, particularly for underrepresented groups.
