Executive Summary

CliniciansCheck serves a global audience of clinicians, patients, institutions, and vendors across multiple regions, languages, and legal systems. This policy outlines how we manage translation, localization, and cultural adaptation of our platform content, documents, interfaces, and legal materials to ensure accessibility, accuracy, legal validity, and cultural sensitivity.

This document supports our global compliance obligations under GDPR, ePrivacy, ISO 17100, WCAG 2.1, and local language access laws, and aligns with standards required by government procurement, insurers, and international stakeholders.

1. Definitions

  • Translation: The conversion of written content from one language to another with semantic fidelity.

  • Localization: The adaptation of content to fit local legal, cultural, or regulatory expectations.

  • Cultural Relevance: The tailoring of non-clinical content, tone, or examples to suit the target region or population group.

  • Source of Record: The original English version of any legal or contractual document, which prevails in case of discrepancy.

2. Scope of Application

This policy applies to the translation or localization of:

  • Legal pages and contracts (e.g. Terms of Use, Privacy Policies)

  • Clinician-facing dashboards, onboarding, and profile sections

  • Patient-facing content and instructions

  • Platform notifications, consent flows, disclaimers, and alerts

  • Educational materials and AI-generated content

  • Vendor storefronts and product listings (where permitted)

3. Legal Priority of English Source

English is the official legal language of the platform.

  • In any dispute, discrepancy, or legal interpretation issue, the English version shall prevail, regardless of translation.

  • All localized documents include a declaration stating: “This translation is provided for convenience only. In the event of conflict, the original English version shall control.”
