Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all users of the CliniciansCheck platform, including patients, clinicians, organisations, and sellers of healthcare-related goods or services.

1. General Principles

  • CliniciansCheck operates as a technology platform connecting users with healthcare professionals, services, and goods.

  • As such, we do not directly deliver clinical care, but facilitate the discovery, booking, engagement, and review process.

  • Refunds and cancellations are subject to the nature of the service purchased, provider policies, and applicable laws.

2. Digital Services and Subscriptions

This includes:

  • Featured listings or enhanced visibility packages

  • Verified seller/member subscriptions

  • Marketplace promotion or advertising services

Refunds:

  • Refunds will not be issued for change-of-mind or unused time.

  • Refunds may be issued only in the case of proven technical errors or service failures caused by CliniciansCheck systems, subject to review.

  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the incident.

Cancellations:

  • Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time and will not renew after the current billing cycle.

  • Annual subscriptions may be cancelled with 30 days’ notice, but no pro-rata refunds will be issued unless required by law.

3. Healthcare Appointments and Services

Bookings for clinical consultations, health services, or sessions are governed by the individual clinician or organisation’s cancellation policy.

CliniciansCheck is not responsible for enforcing or issuing refunds for missed appointments or cancellations unless the booking was made via our own payment gateway and governed by a written agreement with the provider.

Patients must:

  • Contact the clinician or provider directly to reschedule or request a refund

  • Review the provider’s terms before confirming a booking

4. Products (Health & Beauty Goods Marketplace)

For goods purchased from sellers on the CliniciansCheck marketplace, refund eligibility is based on:

  • The seller's return and refund policy (shown at the time of purchase)

  • Applicable consumer protection laws (e.g., Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK)

Buyers must:

  • Inspect goods promptly upon receipt

  • Contact the seller within 14 days if the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described

CliniciansCheck acts as an intermediary only and will not be liable for delivery delays, lost packages, or refund processing by third-party sellers.

5. Refund Request Process

Date and type of purchase

Reason for the request with supporting evidence

All refund decisions are final. CliniciansCheck reserves the right to decline claims that fall outside this policy or appear fraudulent.

Refunds will not be issued for change-of-mind or unused time.

Refund requests will be reviewed within 14 business days. If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method.

6. Jurisdiction and Consumer Rights

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales unless superseded by local consumer protection laws in your country of residence. Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. Force Majeure Clause

CliniciansCheck shall not be liable for failure to provide refunds or cancellations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemics, cyberattacks, legal restrictions, or government mandates.

8. Language on Evidence in Disputes

Refund decisions are based on documented evidence, platform logs, communication history, and usage data at CliniciansCheck’s sole discretion.

9.Local Law Override

Where local consumer protection laws provide additional rights beyond those described in this policy, CliniciansCheck will comply with the higher standard of protection in that jurisdiction.

CliniciansCheck reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time. Updates will be posted on the platform and become effective immediately upon publication.
